Surrey Woods
The woods in winter, in the Downs south of Guildford.
Tarragon has painted in these woods before, in the spring. I've also made a drawing of the same woods, and of a lonely man stopping at the crossroads in their midst.
I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again. ― Lewis C
