    If you'd like to learn more about how your brain works when you draw, I strongly recommend Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. You'll find this exercise inside it and many others that will really open your eyes.

  3. Start finding potential, not only in the immediate ideas, but also in your own personality and in the way you look at your surroundings. Anything that makes you fearful could become part of the work.
